The accredited consultant, Saleh bin Nasser al-Anzi, stressed the importance of small and medium enterprises in the national economy, as these institutions represent the channels to attract the workforce and to combat unemployment in a manner far from formal employment.
This came in a lecture given by Al-anzi on Sunday (28 / April / 2019) that is entitled, "Employment in Small and Medium Enterprises" at the branch of Asharqia Chamber of Khafji.
Al-anzi introduced a set of universally adopted definitions of the term SMEs, which are released based on the number of employment or capital.
He stressed that in all cases, SME is one of the most prominent options for Saudi development to attract national labor, as well as being an effective alternative to official jobs with modest financial return.
He stressed the need to support these enterprises due to its economic importance, not in the area of resettlement and Saudization only, but also in other economic areas, such as the provision and settlement of goods and services.
The lecture is part of a number of activities carried out by the Chamber within the activities of the Center for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises to support and develop small and medium enterprises, including training courses, seminars, workshops and extended meetings.
This is based on the conviction of the importance of the role, effectiveness and vitality of these establishments in the national economy.
